Frequently Asked Questions
What is the dress code?
For the welcome dinner and drinks on Friday evening, attire is casual, but dress for a party! The event will be outdoors on Roberta's patio, so please dress accordingly.
For the wedding, the dress code is formal, meaning dresses should be below the knee or floor-length. Suits should be two- or three-piece, with a tie. Have fun and feel free to think creative and fashion-forward! Also, our ceremony will take place on the lawn, so consider wearing block heels or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass.
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotels?
No, we will not have a shuttle. However, we will cover the cost of transportation via Uber - we will be providing an Uber code that you can use to get to and from the venue.
Are children invited?
We are only inviting children in our immediate family. Sorry for the inconvenience! Please let us know if you have concerns and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What are the food options? What about dietary restrictions?
You are not required to select your meal options ahead of time - meal choices will be selected from a menu at the start of the reception. Please list any dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we will let the kitchen know to prepare something for you.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting! There are no outdoor heaters at BBG, so dress accordingly. The ceremony will be on the lawn, so please wear shoes that can accommodate a short walk on grass. The reception will be indoors, in the climate-controlled Palm House.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes! The ceremony will be in the garden and requires a short walk up a slope to the reception in the Palm House (less than 5 minutes). We will have a golf cart available onsite to transport those who need assistance traveling between the locations.
